For that extra money, the Light Bee 2 gives you 24kW instead of 10kW maximum power, 410Nm instead of 295Nm stated wheel torque, a larger battery, more advanced electronics, traction control, wheelie control, and the new-generation Light Bee platform.
The right choice depends on the rider. If you simply want a Light Bee and 10kW is enough, the Light Bee X remains significantly cheaper. If you already know you would upgrade the controller, battery and motor on an LBX, the Light Bee 2 becomes much more interesting.

Is the Light Bee 2 expensive for what it is?
Not necessarily. The headline price is higher than the traditional Light Bee X, but the specification also moves into a very different class.
AutoEvolution specifically noted that the Light Bee 2 sits in a performance category with bikes such as the E Ride Pro SS 3.0 and other high-output electric dirt bikes, while retaining a particularly low 65kg weight. That combination of 24kW, 65kg, 410Nm wheel torque and a 3.53kWh battery is the core value proposition.
The question for UK buyers is therefore not simply "why is it more expensive than an LBX?" The better question is "how much would it cost to get an LBX to this level of performance?"
What if I was planning to modify a Light Bee X?
