RIDE IT BEFORE YOU DECIDE

Specs on a screen can’t tell you how a bike feels — the pull, the weight, the way it sits under you. Book a relaxed, no-pressure test ride and we’ll help you find the one that’s genuinely right for you.

1
Tell us the bike

About 30 seconds — just the model and the licence you hold.

2
We confirm what’s possible

We check the model, your licence and the best way for you to ride it.

3
You ride

Showroom or track — unhurried, expert-led, entirely on your terms.

Road legal

Tested here at the Guildford showroom. Hop on and ride from us directly.

Off-road

Can’t be ridden on public roads — so we arrange a track or private-land session and guide you through every step.

Licence & CBT guidance

Not sure what you can ride? Ask before you buy.

What you can ride depends on the bike, your age, the licence category and your circumstances. Tap your licence below for a quick, honest steer — then come in and we’ll confirm the detail before you choose.

I currently hold…
Starting from scratch? You may
Begin with a CBT

Most riders start with a CBT, which may let you ride certain lower-powered machines with L-plates. We’ll explain the route from zero to riding, and which bikes fit each step.

What we’ll check together
  • Your age (minimum ages apply)
  • Booking a CBT locally
  • Which starter bikes may suit
  • The path toward A1 / A2 later
With a CBT, you may be able to
Ride certain road-legal models

Some road-legal electric motorbikes may suit CBT riders, depending on the bike’s classification and continuous rated power. We’ll show you which models could be an option and what to check first.

What we’ll check together
  • The bike’s classification & rated power
  • Your age and CBT validity
  • L-plates and where you can ride
  • Whether A1/A2 would suit you better
On an A1 licence, you may
Ride a wider range of bikes

An A1 licence may open up more machines than a CBT, within its category limits. We’ll match bikes to your category and how you plan to ride.

What we’ll check together
  • Category power & limits
  • The bike’s spec vs your licence
  • Insurance considerations
  • Your intended use (road / commute)
On an A2 licence, you may
Access more performance

A2 typically allows more powerful machines within defined limits. We’ll help you find bikes that sit comfortably within your category.

What we’ll check together
  • A2 power limits
  • Restricted vs unrestricted models
  • The right bike for your experience
  • Insurance and registration
With a full A licence, you can
Choose across the range

A full A licence generally gives you the widest choice. We’ll focus on matching the right bike to your riding and the real-world range you need.

What we’ll check together
  • Real-world range for your rides
  • Road-legal setup & registration
  • Performance vs comfort
  • Finance and aftercare
With a car licence, you’ll likely
Need a CBT to ride on road

A car licence alone usually isn’t enough to ride most motorbikes on the road — a CBT or further training is typically required. Off road on private land can be different. We’ll explain your options clearly.

What we’ll check together
  • Whether a CBT is needed
  • Off-road vs road-legal use
  • Training routes near you
  • Which bikes suit your plans
With a CBT, you may be able to
Ride certain road-legal models

Some road-legal electric motorbikes may suit CBT riders, depending on the bike’s classification and continuous rated power. We’ll show you which models could be an option and exactly what to check first.

What we’ll check together
  • The bike’s classification & rated power
  • Your age and CBT validity
  • L-plates and where you can ride
  • Whether A1/A2 would suit you better
Guidance only — not legal advice. What you may ride depends on the specific bike’s classification, your age and your full circumstances. Always confirm with us and the DVLA before you buy or ride.

Electric motorbike finance — your questions

Can I get finance on an electric motorbike?
In many cases, yes. We work as a credit broker and can talk through finance options for electric motorbikes, subject to status, affordability and lender approval. Pop into the Guildford showroom or ask online and we'll explain the routes clearly.
What deposit do I need?
It varies by lender and the bike. Some agreements need little or no deposit; a larger deposit usually lowers your monthly payments. We'll talk you through realistic options for your circumstances.
What's the difference between HP and PCP?
With Hire Purchase you pay fixed monthlies and own the bike after the final payment. With PCP your monthlies are usually lower but there's a larger optional final payment at the end, where you can pay to own it, hand it back or part-exchange.
Will applying affect my credit score?
A full finance application typically involves a credit check, which may leave a record. Many lenders offer an initial eligibility check first. We'll always explain what's involved before you apply.
Can I pay the finance off early?
Most agreements allow early settlement, sometimes with a small fee. The exact terms depend on the lender — we'll point you to the detail before you sign.
Do you offer finance in Guildford and across Surrey?
Yes. Riders come to our Guildford showroom from across Surrey, London and the South East. We can start the conversation in person or online — whatever suits you.
