01

START WITH THE RIDER

Age is useful, but height, reach, confidence and previous riding experience matter too.

02

CHECK PHYSICAL FIT

The rider should be able to support the bike, reach the controls and stop with confidence.

03

MATCH THE TERRAIN

Garden riding, tracks and rougher off-road use place different demands on tyres, suspension and brakes.

04

THEN CHOOSE PERFORMANCE

Compare motor output and speed modes only after rider fit and intended use are clear.

HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT REVVI SIZE

The model number mainly reflects wheel size; it is not a rule for rider age. Start with REVVI's age guide, then check whether the child can support the bike, reach the brakes and throttle without stretching, and control the bike at low speed and while stopping.

If two models overlap, do not automatically buy the larger one for growth. A bike that is easier to control now can be the safer and more confidence-building choice.

THE BIGGEST MODEL STEP-UPS

16 → 16 Plus: same motor, battery and speed modes; Plus adds front suspension, rear disc brake and metal wheels.

16 Plus → 16 XL: major move to 600W, up to 17.5 mph, full suspension and hydraulic discs.

18 → 20: 500W to 800W, larger battery and 19 to 22 mph highest setting.

20 → 20 Plus: major move to 48V 15Ah, 1000W rated / 1500W peak and 27 mph.

UK USE & SAFETY

REVVI's UK guidance positions these children's electric bikes for private-land/off-road use. Do not assume a REVVI is road legal because it looks like a bicycle. Ride only where permitted and with the landowner's permission, with adult supervision and suitable protective equipment.

OWNERSHIP & PRE-RIDE CHECKS

Use the charger specified for the exact model. Store the bike and battery dry. Before riding, check tyres, brakes and visible fasteners. Real-world battery runtime changes with speed, rider weight, terrain, temperature and riding style.

REVVI ELECTRIC BIKE FAQ

Real buying questions parents ask before choosing a REVVI, from sizing and model differences to speed, UK use, protection and replacement parts.

What size REVVI should I buy for my child?

Start with REVVI's age guide, then check physical fit. Your child should be able to support the bike, reach the brakes and throttle without stretching, balance confidently and control the bike at low speed and while stopping. Do not size up purely for future growth if the larger bike is harder to control now.

Which REVVI is suitable for a 3-year-old?

The REVVI 12 has a manufacturer age guide of 2–6 years. Age alone is not enough, so also check balance, reach, bike weight and whether the child can stop and control the bike confidently.

Which REVVI is suitable for a 5-year-old?

A five-year-old falls within the guide for the REVVI 12 and REVVI 16, while the REVVI 16 Plus is listed from age 5+. Choose between them using physical fit, confidence and riding experience rather than age alone.

What is the difference between the REVVI 12 and REVVI 16?

The REVVI 12 is the smaller entry model, with a 100W motor, 24V 2.6Ah battery and 5 / 10 mph speed modes for the 2–6 age guide. The REVVI 16 steps up to 250W, a 24V 5.2Ah battery and 8 / 10 / 12 mph modes, with a 5–8 age guide.

REVVI 16 or REVVI 16 Plus: which should I choose?

Both use a 250W motor, 24V 5.2Ah battery and 8 / 10 / 12 mph speed modes. The REVVI 16 Plus adds front suspension, a rear disc brake and metal wheels, so it is the more upgraded chassis while keeping the same headline power and speed settings.

REVVI 16 Plus or REVVI 16 XL: what is the difference?

This is a much bigger step than 16 to 16 Plus. The REVVI 16 Plus has a 250W motor and a 12 mph highest setting. The REVVI 16 XL moves to 600W, up to 17.5 mph, full suspension and hydraulic disc brakes, and REVVI lists it from age 6+. Rider ability and physical fit matter as much as age here.

REVVI 18 or REVVI 20: which is the better fit?

The REVVI 18 is listed from age 8+ and uses a 500W motor, 36V 5Ah battery and a highest speed setting of 19 mph. The REVVI 20 is listed from age 10+ and steps up to 800W, a 36V 7.5Ah battery and 22 mph. The 20 is also larger and heavier, so choose it when the rider has the size and experience to control the extra performance.

REVVI 20 or REVVI 20 Plus: what changes?

The REVVI 20 uses an 800W motor, 36V 7.5Ah battery and tops out at 22 mph. The REVVI 20 Plus makes a major jump to 1000W rated / 1500W peak, a 48V 15Ah battery and a 27 mph highest setting. Both are listed from age 10+, so experience, physical fit and control are especially important.

When should a rider move up to the REVVI 24?

REVVI lists the REVVI 24 from age 12+. It is the largest and heaviest model in this range at about 30 kg, with a 48V 15Ah battery, 1000W rated / 1500W peak motor and a 30 mph highest setting. Move up when the rider has the physical size, strength and experience to control it, not simply because they have reached a particular birthday.

How fast do REVVI electric bikes go?

The highest speed settings rise through the range from 10 mph on the REVVI 12 to 30 mph on the REVVI 24. Intermediate models have multiple speed settings, so choose a lower mode that matches the rider's current ability and only progress when control is consistent.

Can I limit the speed on a REVVI?

REVVI models in this range have multiple selectable speed modes. That lets a parent or supervising adult start a rider on a lower setting and move up as confidence and control improve. Use the model's own instructions for selecting the correct mode.

Can a REVVI be ridden on UK public roads or pavements?

REVVI's UK guidance positions these children's electric bikes for private-land and off-road use. Do not assume a REVVI is road legal because it looks like a bicycle. Use it only where riding is permitted and, on private land, with the landowner's permission unless the exact vehicle and location have been separately confirmed as lawful.

What protective gear should a child wear on a REVVI?

Use protective equipment appropriate to the rider, speed and terrain. A properly fitted helmet is the minimum sensible starting point, with eye protection, gloves, knee and elbow protection and suitable footwear adding protection as speed and terrain become more demanding. Children should ride with appropriate adult supervision.

Can I buy REVVI replacement parts in the UK?

Yes. MotoEbikes has a dedicated REVVI parts and accessories range organised around bike-model compatibility. Choose the exact REVVI model first so the parts shown are matched to that bike rather than relying on appearance alone.

Are REVVI chargers and batteries interchangeable between models?

Do not assume they are interchangeable. Match the exact REVVI model, voltage and part specification before buying or connecting a charger or battery. If the compatibility is unclear, check the model-specific part information before use.
