Advice reviewed 13 October 2026. Manufacturer claims are identified; this is not an independent riding test.
Start an Ultra Bee comparison with the generation and exact version. Original Ultra Bee specifications, earlier R and T listings and the current HP range are not interchangeable. An advertisement that only says “Ultra Bee” needs clarification before you compare power, weight or road use.
What is currently listed?
As checked on 13 October 2026, Sur-Ron UK lists the MY26 Ultra Bee HP X and HP T. The X is the off-road model; for road use, investigate the precise approved T specification and its documents. The manufacturer’s advertised peak output is not a licence classification.
For the current off-road motorcycle’s detailed specification, use the Ultra Bee HP X page. The older R announcement and Black Carbon Edition note remain available as clearly dated archive records.
Rider fit and intended terrain
Try footing, control reach, standing position and low-speed manoeuvring. Discuss rider weight including kit when considering suspension setup. Think about loading and transport as well as riding: a motorcycle that fits on a specification chart still has to work with your storage and vehicle.
Compare Light Bee and Ultra Bee if size and mass are important. For an enduro alternative, see Stark VARG EX vs Ultra Bee HP.
Battery, range and charger
Check the battery actually fitted, its condition and the compatible charger. Use model-specific range claims with their stated test conditions. Ask how charging will work at home or at the venue rather than assuming every system can use the same socket or public charging point.
Buying used
- Verify ownership, identity, model year and any registration documents.
- Ask about servicing, faults, crash or water damage and modifications.
- Inspect consumables and request an appropriate battery assessment.
- Confirm which charger and accessories are included.
- Read the actual warranty and support arrangements.
Road-use checks
An off-road X does not become road approved merely by fitting lights. Registration, approval, compliant condition, insurance and rider entitlement all need checking. Read our Sur-Ron legal guide before choosing a motorcycle for public roads.
