24kW vs 10kW: how big is the performance difference?
The Light Bee 2 X produces 2.4 times the stated peak power of the MY26 Light Bee X. But the buying decision should not be based on peak power alone. The Light Bee X remains lighter at 59kg and retains the familiar lightweight riding character that made the LBX popular. The Light Bee 2 X adds just 6kg while introducing much more power, a larger battery and a substantially more advanced electronics package.

Which one is lighter?
The Light Bee 2 X gains only around 6kg despite the larger battery and significantly higher maximum power. The Light Bee X remains the lighter machine and may still appeal more strongly to riders who prioritise agility, simplicity and the classic Light Bee feel. The Light Bee 2 X is aimed at riders who are willing to accept a modest increase in weight for considerably more factory performance.

Many Sur-Ron owners buy an LBX and later upgrade the controller, battery, motor, brakes and suspension. That can make the initial £3,295 purchase price misleading when comparing the two bikes.
