MEET LEE ROBINSON

Lee Robinson founded MotoEbikes in Guildford, Surrey. He works with riders choosing road-legal and off-road electric motorbikes, helping them understand what will suit their riding and what ownership involves.

For journalists, that means access to someone who deals with the questions behind a purchase: how a bike fits, where it can be used, how charging will work and what to expect from its range. Lee can explain the choices riders face and the concerns that bring them into the showroom.

His work with motorcycle journalist Jeremy Webb includes rides on the Zero FXE and DSR/X, alongside review-bike access through MotoEbikes. BBC News cited MotoEbikes as a source of Sur-Ron information in July 2026. See the media coverage.

MotoEbikes also supplied Sur-Ron motorcycles for Guy Ritchie’s Netflix series The Gentlemen. Read about our production work.

LEE'S STORY

A minute with Lee on motorcycling and the move to electric.

1 MINUTE. CAPTIONS INCLUDED IN THE FILM.

POLICE ENFORCEMENT, BIKE SEIZURES AND RESPONSIBLE OWNERSHIP

When an electric bike makes the headlines, the description of the machine matters. Lee can help journalists understand the differences between electric bicycles and electric motorbikes, and the questions a buyer should ask about the model being sold.

He can discuss the confusion customers bring to the showroom, how road-legal and off-road bikes are presented, and the checks around intended use, registration, licensing and insurance. His contribution is the experience of a specialist retailer working with riders.

For a developing story, send the original police statement or report, the model involved, your questions and deadline. We can then discuss the relevant technical details and arrange comment from Lee.
