How Fast Does a Sur-Ron Hyper Bee Go? MY26 Guide

The UK importer lists 40mph as the maximum speed of the Hyper Bee 8kW MY26. That is about 64km/h and is a manufacturer specification, not a MotoEbikes speed test. Earlier Hyper Bee figures should not be presented as the specification of the current model.

Identify the right Hyper Bee

The official MY26 Hyper Bee page identifies an 8kW model weighing 39kg, with a 58V 22Ah battery. It lists a 55kg rated load capacity. Check the exact motorcycle, wheel configuration and current owner’s manual when assessing rider suitability.

A compact motorcycle is not automatically appropriate for every child or beginner. Riding experience, physical fit, control reach and total permitted load matter. Do not use top speed as the main sizing tool.

A maximum is not a training target

Beginner instruction should be organised at a suitable off-road venue with appropriate supervision, protective equipment and controls set according to the manual. Establish that the rider can operate the brakes, manage the motorcycle and follow instructions before increasing pace.

Electronic assistance and adjustable settings do not replace training. Ask the dealer to demonstrate the actual controls on the delivered version, rather than assuming they match a video of an earlier model.

Where can it be ridden?

Treat the Hyper Bee as an off-road motorcycle and arrange lawful access to a suitable venue or private land with permission. It is not a pedal-assisted bicycle for cycle paths. A quieter motor does not remove land-access restrictions.

Top speed does not tell you how long a session will last. The Sur-Ron range guide identifies the importer’s stated test conditions. Ask about the exact charger and how the bike will be transported and stored.

• Confirm model year and the wheel and seat configuration.
• Check rider fit in normal protective equipment and the manufacturer’s load limit.
• Ask for a demonstration of the current manual’s startup, mode and shutdown procedures.
• Establish venue access, supervision and suitable transport before purchase.
