Electric motorbike dealer for London riders

Our showroom is in Guildford, not London, and the A3 makes it an easy trip from south and west London. Kingston is about 17 miles away. If you want an electric motorbike for your commute, this is the page to start with.

Riding an electric motorbike in London

If you want a road legal bike to commute on, start with two. The Surron Light Bee L1e tops out at 28 mph, which suits short trips on 20 mph streets. The Light Bee 2 L3e reaches 56 mph, so it can keep up on faster A roads. You cannot use a motorway on a CBT or provisional licence, whichever one you choose.

Motorbikes are exempt from the Congestion Charge, and an electric motorbike has no exhaust emissions for ULEZ to charge. Check TfL for the current rules before you rely on this.

No plug where you park? The Light Bee 2 L3e has a removable battery. Off-road models such as the Surron Light Bee X and Hyper Bee are for private land with the landowner's permission, or a track that allows them. You cannot ride them on roads, pavements, footpaths, bridleways, parks or commons. Police can seize a bike ridden illegally.

What to look at first

A road legal commuter

It has to be registered, taxed and insured, and you need the right licence for that exact bike. We will go through it with you.
