Buying a Sur-Ron from an Official Dealer: What to Check

An authorised dealer should make it easier to establish exactly what you are buying and who will support it. Verify the business through the Sur-Ron UK dealer directory and obtain written answers about the particular motorcycle. Dealer status is a useful starting point, not a substitute for checking the sale terms.

Identify the actual motorcycle

• Full model name, year, colour and intended road or off-road status.
• Standard battery and charger specification.
• Any changes from the factory configuration.
• Whether the bike is physically available or expected in a future allocation.
• The total price, including any delivery, preparation and registration arrangements.

Ask about preparation and handover

Request an explanation of the pre-delivery inspection and the checks that will be documented. At handover, ask for a demonstration of controls, charging, warning messages and the applicable maintenance schedule. Ensure you receive the correct owner’s manual and records.

Read the actual warranty

Ask who provides the warranty, its duration and limits, which components it covers and how a claim is made. Keep the invoice, identity details and service records. For an import or used bike, establish the support route explicitly rather than relying on an overseas specification page.

Parts and workshop support

Ask where routine servicing and diagnostics will happen and how parts are obtained. If the bike must be transported for a repair, establish that process and likely practical implications. Availability of a product listing does not guarantee every replacement component is immediately in stock.
