The official UK price is now £3,295
Sur-Ron UK has confirmed a reduced official UK retail price of £3,295 for the MY26 Light Bee X 10kW. The change is intended to help the authorised UK dealer network compete more directly with grey imports.
MotoEbikes changed its pricing early rather than waiting. The £3,295 price has been live on our listing and announced to our customers already, and the bikes themselves are here, not on a forward order.

What changed for MY26
The MY26 revision is a substantial factory update rather than a cosmetic one. The headline items in the current documentation are:
- 10kW peak power on a 72V platform, with 295 Nm maximum wheel torque.
- New 72V 35Ah battery, approximately 2.5kWh, charging from 20 to 80 per cent in around 2.15 hours.
- Higher top speed of 80 km/h, approximately 50 mph.
- Forged aluminium alloy double cradle frame for improved rigidity, with kerb weight held at 59 kg.
- Forged integrated four-piston brake calipers.
- Sur-Ron Wheelie Control (SWC) as standard, with two selectable levels.
- Five-level regenerative braking, three-level adjustable throttle response, Sport and Eco modes and an automatic hold function.
- CAN bus integration and app connectivity over Bluetooth.
- Safety functions including tilt protection, brake override, side stand protection and power system temperature, voltage and current protection.
The practical difference
- More usable power and torque from standard, so less immediate need for aftermarket parts.
- Smoother delivery than earlier Light Bee models, which suits newer riders as well as experienced ones.
- More stopping power to match the extra performance.
Why the official UK price matters
Grey imports are bikes brought into the UK outside the official distribution route. Some are perfectly serviceable machines. The point is not that they are faulty, it is that what you get with them varies, and it is worth knowing exactly what you are comparing before you decide on price alone.
Now that the official UK price is £3,295, the gap that made an import worth the extra unknowns is much smaller. Ask any seller, including us, the same set of questions:
- Which exact model year and specification is it? MY26 10kW is not the same bike as an earlier 8kW model.
- Is it official UK-distributed stock?
- Who handles warranty and technical support, and where is that work carried out?
- Is VAT included, and is delivery included or extra?
- Is the charger supplied and suitable for UK mains?
- Where will parts and servicing come from?
- Does the seller have a physical address, a landline and a workshop you can visit?
Any seller who answers those clearly deserves consideration. The answers simply differ between routes, and warranty arrangements, specification details and documentation are where they differ most.

Who the Light Bee X suits
A good fit if you want
- A light electric off-road bike with strong power to weight.
- Private land, a trail centre or an off-road venue where you have permission to ride.
- A current-generation bike rather than an older one you would modify straight away.
- Quiet running and simple maintenance compared with a petrol equivalent.
Look elsewhere if
- You need a road-legal machine. Ask us about the Light Bee L1E instead.
- You have nowhere legal to ride. Sort that out first.
- Your height, experience or intended use points to a different model.

Where you can ride it
The Light Bee X is an off-road model. It is not road legal and must not be ridden on public roads, pavements, cycle paths, bridleways or other public places covered by road traffic law.
It is for use on private land with the landowner's permission, or at venues and trail centres that permit it. Permission is the important part: riding on private land without it is an offence in itself. If you want a Sur-Ron you can register and ride on the road, the Light Bee L1E is the model to ask about.
If you have not sorted out where you are going to ride, sort that out before you buy the bike.
